Fabric
Always refer to the fabric care label attached to your furniture prior to attempting to clean. Regularly vacuum fabrics to remove the accumulation of dust, dirt and hair. Attend to spills and stains as soon as possible by wiping with a damp cloth. Do not use chemical cleaners for difficult stains, we recommend you consult a specialist upholstery cleaner.
Keep all furniture away from direct sunlight as this will produce fading and aging of the fabric.
Leather
With leather, each single hide is unique and features its own texture, colour and natural markings. Therefore, it is not unusual to see colour differences, grain changes, scars and brand marks. Some softening and stretching of the leather can be expected over time. Remove all spills as soon as possible with a damp cloth. We recommend the use of a specialised leather cleaner and conditioner to keep the leather clean, soft and supple.
Cushions
We recommend regular rotation of seat and back cushions which will help to maintain their shape and loft. Cushion fillings will naturally relax over time. Scatter inserts can be refreshed by occasionally laying them out in the sun to air. Occasionally, feather quills can pierce through covers, this can be removed by pulling the feather.
Timber
We recommend to regularly wipe timber to remove dust and dirt with a soft clean cloth. Protect the timber surface by avoiding contact with liquids and heat. The colour of the timber will naturally alter over time but will maintain most of its depth by avoiding exposure to sunlight. Do not use chemical cleaners or polish as they may cause permanent damage.
General
Do not drag furniture along the floor as this can damage the frame and/or legs. Do not sit on the arms of the sofa. To prolong the life of your furniture we recommend annual cleaning by a specialist fabric/leather cleaner.
